Ago.

On this past May 11th I celebrated 10 years of living in Canada. On the morning of May 11, 2002, I graduated with a Bachelors degree. On the evening of May 11, 2002, I boarded a plane destined for Saskatoon, SK.

Looking at that picture, I don’t recognize that girl. I was in such a different place then (not to mention about 40ish pounds heavier). 10 years ago I didn’t really know who I was — at that time, I only knew who I wasn’t.

Thankfully I think I’ve found myself — and to think it only took moving a couple thousand miles away to another country to fully understand who I am.

What’s great about this long-suffering, often neglected weblog of mine is that it’s always worked as a living artifact of my 10 year journey here in the hinterland.  If you dig deep enough, you’ll find chapters of my life that are definitely cringe worthy, but along with those I hope there are a few memories there that can still inspire.

What a long trip it’s been.

HeyZeus it’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years, and I’ve been lucky enough to have known you for most of that time, also with some huge changes along the way.

    Happy G.W.N. Decade Rebekah!
